You might have to spend a couple extra bucks fixing it up, so make sure you get a great deal. Just buy through reliable resources. The want ads MIGHT get you a great deal, but they’re not exactly the best around when it comes to the matter of accountability.

Everything’s cheaper on the internet, everything. You can check out dozens of sites, find the best deal, and get the laptop you want for much less than you’d pay at the local computer shop. If you want to give each computer a test run first, to see how the touch pad feels, to see what the keyboard types like, then go ahead and check them out at a local shop in person, but do your final buy on the web.

Mildly Outdated Rigs

They’re always putting out something newer and fancier. This doesn’t mean the old ones are no good, just that the old ones are cheaper. Keep an eye out for great laptops that are getting an overhaul from the manufacturer in the near future. When the new model comes out, snatch up the old one.
