Custom foam inserts jobs avoid the problems people face when trying to fit their hard case interiors with DIY cubed foam cutting work. The vast majority of cubed foam inserts are cut-outs of three- or four-inch thick pieces of foam. In the usual 15″ case base appear these pieces plus a one- to three-inch thick cubed foam layer. When cavities get made in the initial four-inch layer, it’s perfectly fine as long as the item is four inches thick or less. But…not everyone’s every item is four inches thick or less. This is where the “pick and pluck foam” usage causes trouble. But custom foam inserts totally get past this potentially serious shortcoming.
