It’s also one of the most aesthetically pleasing versions with a very sleek and portable design. It also has a much longer battery life (not to mention being rechargeable) and an in-depth LCD screen. It doesn’t have playlist support or an FM tuner, though, and it can get pretty expensive if it comes to replacing the batteries.

As it has been rated by its users, the reputed best MP3/CD player is the Panasonic SL-J900. It can detach from it’s speaker base for portability and can play most any music CDs and file formats. It comes with rechargeable batteries, an inline remote with LCD display, and is a wonderfully sleek, thin design. It’s flaws are that it’s very fragile and all the ingenious components that come with it are generally frail, like a single pin that states whether the player is open or not, that breaks easily.

The only thing that puts these 5 models at the top is popular voice. Some people may love them, and some may hate, it’s just a grand majority that like. There’s nothing that will say any particular model is or isn’t for you, so it’s best to see them for yourself, such as going to a store or even trying one out. If you buy online, it’s wisest to only buy from sites with a return policy.

When it comes to music players, MP3/CD players are towards the bottom, because CDs are quickly being replaced and people are using MP3/CD players to make the transition.
