How good are the speakers that come with home stereo systems?

I have an old Pioneer -Z65M – just wondering if anyone knew how powerful the speakers that came with it are?
the speakers you get with most stereo systems are crap they aren’t able to take the out put produced by the system. good makes of speakers are jamo and wharfdales. i have my dvd player connected to an amp and i have two pairs of speakers connected to my amp ihave a set of jamo d115′s and a set of pioneers. they make good speakers to along with goodmans

Sometimes good, sometimes bad but usually subpar with what you COULD get.
But the only place I saw yours was on EBay and it’s a stackable stereo system so usually it’s pretty decent.
Can’t find any more information on it.

The speakers that came with your system would be more than adequate to do the job…assuming the job is lilsten to much at a sensible sound without worrying too much about mid range, bass level, treble, interference, etc.
I have individual hi-fi components and a set of separate speakers made by Mission. Naturally they’re going to be better than speakers that came with a system (but they also cost a few hundred quid on their own).
It’s all relative really. But the fact you purchased a hi-fi system at all means you’re probably not overly worried about ultimate sound quality.
In specific response to your question about your speaker output, they’re probably 20-30W if they’re bog standard speakers. However, that has little relevance to the quality of the speakers and the sound they produce. Higher wattage doesn’t mean better sound.

You could always call Pioneer and ask them. But being a Pioneer i would say the speakers are good with them.
